DuPont Tyvek and Jackite

Jackite designer Marguerite Stankus designed her first Osprey kite on paper.  But she knew it would take a stronger material to hold up to weather.  She began her search to find many products, but was curious about Tyvek.  After ordering a sample and working with Tyvek she knew she had the right product for her kites.

As well Dupont knew Marguerite's design was one of a kind like no other.  DuPont supported Jackite in the beginning years with advice and helped marketing for the newbie, Jackite, Inc.  They assisted in Jackite's attendance of it's first trade show, The Toy Fair, at Javits Center in New York City.

Further, DuPont's excitement continued and DuPont asked Marguerite to design a Bald Eagle.  The jackite American Bald Eagle was featured on DuPont's website, in its booth at trade shows and in its marketing material.  Jackite showed versatility and printablity of Tyvek.

DuPont was on the team that brought the Dove of Peace used in the 1996 Summer Olympics from conception to mass production in 12 weeks.

Thank you Dupont!

For almost 50 years, DuPont™ Tyvek® is a tough, durable spunbonded olefin product that is stronger than paper and more cost-effective and versatile than fabrics.
